Using tempera on paper, this work reflects the Mystery of God as the Author of our very beings, the Eternal Source of Love, and the Origin & Energy of Life itself. The title is figurative. The Holy One, of courses, isn't a human person like us and most likely does not have any hands but ours.
Using charcoal on paper, this work reflects our belief that the Holy has graciously chosen to reveal God's own self to us in Word and Action, plus of course, through Persons. We ourselves become a Word to the world each time we reflect that divine and holy gift.
Using pastels on paper, this work demonstrates the mysterious and wonderful power of light, as it shines in our lives and as it fills our hearts and souls. Indeed, let there be light!
Using pastels again, this work adds to the one on the left by acknowledging that we each have an inner light, one that guides us to love and good works when we allow it to shine within us.
